Position Overview
As the Lead Fire Alarm Installer, you will oversee installation crews, ensure code‑compliant installations, coordinate project timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for site supervisors and project managers. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a focus on delivering high‑quality project execution.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and supervise installation teams on commercial fire alarm projects
Install, program, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of fire alarm systems, including:
Silent Knight, Simplex, Notifier, EST, Fire Lite, and others
Train and mentor junior installers and technicians
Ensure all work meets NFPA, local code, and manufacturer specifications
Oversee installation of fire alarm devices such as pull stations, horns, strobes, sirens, smoke detectors, heat detectors, panels, glass breaks, etc.
Coordinate daily work activities, material needs, and schedules
Perform quality control, system testing, and final walkthroughs
Communicate effectively with project managers, GCs, and customers


Qualifications

5+ years of commercial Fire Alarm installation experience
Previous lead/supervisory experience required
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and commercial fire alarm codes
Proficiency in fire alarm system programming and troubleshooting (preferred)
Your own basic hand tools
Strong electronics background
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
