Overview  The Restaurant Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the restaurant. This role supports guest areas as well as some kitchen and back-of-house cleaning, helping ensure the space remains safe, orderly, and ready for service.  Core Responsibilities Clean and maintain guest-facing areas, including dining spaces, entryways, and restrooms. Refill and reset restroom supplies, including soap, paper products, and towels. Clean and sanitize floors, surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas throughout the restaurant. Support light kitchen and back-of-house cleaning, including: Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors Wiping down exterior surfaces of equipment and prep tables Helping to remove trash, recycling, and compost from kitchen areas Assist with cleaning needs between services and during end-of-day breakdown. Maintain clean and organized trash and recycling areas. Follow established cleaning schedules, checklists, and safety guidelines. Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately. Notify leadership of maintenance concerns or supply needs. Support additional cleaning or organizational tasks as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1-2 years cleaning/janitorial experience in restaurant environment preferred Knowledge of each job function on the floor and understanding of the priorities of service Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices Must be punctual and reliable Must be available to work days, nights, and weekends Health & Safety Adhere to the highest standards of food safety, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and hygiene requirements according to the Los Angeles Department of Health standards to ensure the health and safety of team members and guests Work Environment Involves standing and walking the entire shift Involves holding objects with hands  Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently  Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds with frequency throughout the shift
