Residential Porter (Full-time)

At Troy Towers, the Porter is responsible for the general upkeep and cleaning of property grounds, common areas, interior spaces, and vacant apartments. This includes maintaining property cleanliness and curb appeal, restoring vacated apartments to move-in condition, and preserving office, bathroom, and kitchen hygiene.

Key Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work—remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas, keep the dumpster area clean, and vacuum, sweep and mop common areas
Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents—clean appliances, kitchen cabinets, sink and floors, bathroom—including toilet, tub, sink and floor, windows, front door, and performs touch-up painting as necessary
Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule
Cleans property office as necessary—empty trash, vacuum carpets, clean bathroom and kitchen
Assists maintenance technicians in performing preventive maintenance, capital improvements or satisfying work orders as needed

Hours required to work: 7:30 am - 3:30 Monday through Friday. Every other Saturday for 5 hours OT. Every Sunday: 2 hours OT each week (trash removal). You will get between 5 and 7 hours overtime each week. Total hours: 45 - 47 per week.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma or GED preferred
One year of general maintenance experience in preferred
Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred
Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays
Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
Ability to follow direction and work independently
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
Requirements

Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
