Medical Assistant Part Time

Part-time Medical Assistant position. 20 hours guaranteed weekly. May increase with increased patient load.
Small independent medical office with one physician. Must enjoy working with senior citizens
Understanding of holistic medicine desired, but not required, however must have strong interest in alternative medicine
Flexible hours. No weekends or evenings. Shift begins at 7:30 am. Depending on patient census for the day, will determine close of shift, between noon and 4 pm, Monday through Thursday. Wednesday, shift is 7 am to noon.

Clinical Duties: Vital Signs, Recording medical histories, assist with medical procedures, including EKGs, minor surgeries, injections. IV experience and phlebotomy skills a must. EHR skills, Sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment
Instruct patients on medications and doctor recommendations:
Follow-up phone calls and/or email patients as needed
Strong communication skills. Bilingual a plus.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare procedures, and clinical protocols
Certification CMA or RMA plus CPR is required
