Charter Captain Position

Located in Homer Alaska, the Halibut Capital of the World. Bob's Trophy Charters is the premier fishing charter company in one of the most beautiful locations in Alaska. Located on Kachemak Bay, we are about two hundred miles south of Anchorage. Homer is a very picturesque community with gorgeous mountain/glacier views, incredible ocean coastline and filled with fun adventuristic people from all over the country.

We are a seasonal business that is open from April through September but work year round booking customers for their Alaskan adventures. We're looking for the perfect candidate for a position with our company. If you have a friendly & outgoing personality, enjoy working with customers, and are not afraid of working a long schedule during our busy season then read on.

The Boat:
The boat is called the Nauti Lady and she's a 48ft Delta with a 2019 D13 Volvo installed in 2020. The capacity is 18 passengers and 3 crew.

Duties would include some of the following:
The duties of this position are to make sure the clients have a Safe, Enjoyable,and Productive day on the water. This means knowing when and where to fish during the varying tide cycles, weather conditions and times of the year. When the clients are not on board there are many other duties such as maintenance of the boat and fishing equipment, fueling, and networking with fellow captains to stay on the fish.

Qualifications:
*Must have a valid 50 ton or more USCG license.
*Five years or more fishing the Lower Cook Inlet.
*Previous experience running boats out of the Homer Harbor is a plus.
*Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
*Must be drug free and sober.
*CPR/First Aid certified by the USCG

Compensation
*Depends on experience and what type of trip is scheduled on any particular day.
