Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Assistant Supermarket Manager to support daily store operations and help ensure excellent customer service, efficient staff management, and strong overall store performance.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3–5 years of supermarket or grocery store experience

Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred

Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, including inventory, ordering, merchandising, and customer service

Ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff

Experience with scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and daily operations

Knowledge of West Indian / Caribbean products is a plus

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours

Responsibilities:

Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations

Supervise staff and ensure proper coverage and productivity

Help manage inventory levels, ordering, and shrink control

Ensure shelves are stocked, clean, and well-merchandised

Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues as needed

Ensure store compliance with company policies and safety standards

Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is absent
