Maintenance Coordinator (Manufacturing)

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all
maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability,
minimizes downtime, and supports production goals by organizing preventive and corrective
maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
• Schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Create and maintain maintenance work orders
• Track equipment downtime and generate maintenance reports
• Coordinate with production supervisors to minimize operational disruptions
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Communicate with vendors and contractors for repairs and services
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related
field preferred)
• 2+ years of maintenance coordination or industrial maintenance experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems (CMMS experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements
• Ability to walk production floors regularly
• May require lifting up to 25–50 lbs
• Exposure to manufacturing environment (noise, machinery, varying temperatures)
