What you’ll do: We’re hiring experienced, high-energy Baristas for a fast-paced pop-up coffee bar at Frieze Art Fair in Santa Monica. This is a short-term opportunity to be part of a dynamic team serving artists, collectors, creatives, and coffee lovers from around the world. Details: Location: Santa Monica Dates: February 23, 2026 - March 2, 2026 Shifts: Multiple shifts available (morning, mid, closing) The Temporary Barista position will be responsible for the following: Execute high-quality espresso and coffee drinks in a fast-paced pop-up setting Dial in espresso and drip coffee; maintain quality control throughout service Steam and texture milk to spec; ensure all beverages meet standards Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized workstation during service Understand and properly operate all coffee equipment including grinders and espresso machines Speak confidently about our coffee program and limited pop-up offerings Support overall pop-up operations — restocking, maintaining cleanliness, assisting teammates as needed Jump in wherever needed to ensure smooth service and strong guest experience Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude throughout long, high-energy shifts Show up prepared, on time, and ready to work Who you are: Prior barista experience in a high-volume setting Strong espresso and milk-texturing skills Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure Team players who take initiative and support the full operation Professional presentation and respectful communication Flexible availability during the event dates (2/23–3/2) Up-to-date ServSafe certification (required) ABC certification (if applicable) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Physical Demands: This is a temporary event-based role requiring long periods of standing and movement.
