Job Description

Job Title: Machinist

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform all 5S activities and keep immediate work area clean and free from hazards. *
2. Performs work in a manner which meets all product and quality system requirements. *
3. Performs work in a manner which ensures the safety of personnel, the public, and the
environment. *
4. Performs work in a manner which is in compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
*5. Participates in applicable corrective and preventive actions.*
6. Responsible for manufacturing products according to process plans, quality plans, and customer
requirements.*
7. Initiates requests for nonconforming material review and disposition.*
8. Initiates requests for corrective or preventive actions.*
9. Stops performing any work that is not in compliance with all product and quality system
requirements until the noncompliance is resolved.*
10. Adjusts process parameters to meet product requirements. *
11. Study blueprints or sketches to determine the dimensions of finished work piece and setup
requirements.
12. Inspect first run piece and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
13. Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification.
14. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments and materials on machines.15. Responsible for all adjustments of grinder operation including wheel changes.
16. General Blanchard Grinding functions, set up, wheel change, preventative maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications: at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing job shop environment. Familiar with measuring instruments, i.e; micrometers, verniers, basic arithmetic, great work ethic.
