Job Description
Boutique CPA and Real Estate Practice – Mid-Wilshire / Larchmont Area
A well-established tax and real estate practice in the Mid-Wilshire area seeks a mature, dependable administrative professional to serve as the operational right hand to the principal.
This is not a typical clerical position. The successful candidate will help manage the day-to-day administrative functions of a busy professional practice and ensure that office operations run smoothly throughout the year, particularly and including the demands of tax season.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
• is a self-starter and comfortable taking responsibility
• exercises sound judgment in a professional environment
• communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
• is organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
• enjoys learning new skills and improving existing systems
• works well with people and maintains a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
Experience in a professional office such as an accounting firm, law office, financial services firm, or real estate office is strongly preferred. Familiarity with common tax forms, business filings, and administrative interaction with government agencies is helpful.
Typical Responsibilities
Daily activities include:
• coordinating appointments and client communications
• organizing and assembling tax return packages
• preparing correspondence to clients and taxing authorities
• maintaining organized client files and workflow tracking
• communicating with government agencies to obtain and submit information
• managing office supplies, vendors, and general administrative functions
As familiarity with the practice develops, the candidate will assume increasing responsibility for office workflow and administrative coordination.
The firm will sponsor the candidate’s Notary Public commission and cover related costs.
Work Environment
This is a year-round tax and real estate practice.
Overtime and occasional weekends are required during peak filing seasons (March–April and September–October). Overtime is paid in addition to base salary.
Competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance, are offered.
To Apply:
Please submit a résumé and a brief cover letter describing your experience in a professional office environment. In your cover letter, please describe a situation in which you helped keep an office or project organized under deadline pressure. Also include:
1. your availability for an interview
2. your salary expectations
3. the earliest date you could begin work
4. the best telephone number and time to reach you
Applications that do not include this information will not be considered.
