TECHNICIAN I
Houston, TX 77073

Shifts: (Monday- Friday and alternating Saturdays)

4PM-12:30AM (could extend to 2:30AM based on demand) $16.50(hourly rate) + $1.25(shift differential) = $17.75/hr.
Overtime is authorized as needed.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the leadership of the designated Manager and/or Supervisor, will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands for Toyota vehicles by providing the vehicles to dealers and customers that meet their demands. Additionally, the Technician I will move vehicles to designated areas inside and around the Pre-delivery Services (PDS) building and potentially drive vehicles up and down the ramps located in the PDS work areas.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Stoop, kneel/squat, use hands and fingers, to handle, grip/squeeze and/or feel, push/pull, and reach with hands and arms, position themselves to retrieve parts from bottom shelf and top shelf, climb stairs to retrieve parts from the mezzanine level, balance, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities and Duties
Timely, consistent, and predictable attendance
Safely drive all makes and models of Toyota vehicles to various locations during the day, night, and inclement weather.
Work safely; comply with all safety rules, maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area; use shop equipment and tools safely; and wear required personal protective equipment. Report all accidents immediately.
Meet and exceed productivity and quality requirements.
Comply with all policy, procedures, job instructions, and safety rules.
Prepare vehicles for installation of accessories and/or install accessories correctly and efficiently on new vehicles.
Secure correct parts and properly record receipt.
Maintain and properly safeguard all shop tools and equipment, by using proper equipment and installation techniques.
Scan accessories installation after fit and function is verified to be correct.
Remove replaced parts or accessories; safeguard; turn in as required.
Perform final check or inspection of completed work to ensure that it meets quality standards, such as defects around the vehicle, and proper accessories have been installed.
Act as Peer Trainer, supporting teammates with on-the-job training and support to perform technical tasks and responsibilities.
Perform ramp driver duties, including driving vehicles up the ramp for the spare tire check function.
Place appropriate printed materials inside specific vehicles.
Stocking required materials and parts on the lanes as required.
Maintaining 5s program.
Inspection of Locally Installed Accessories and Factory Installed Equipment per Work Order and Monroney.
Verifying Accessories and Invoicing Vehicles in Mainframe.
Make decisions on cosmetic defects using defined criteria, experience and the tools required.
Preparing required documents, and reports used in Final Check Process.
Park vehicles properly; comply with Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) Audit Criteria when parking vehicles in load lines: maintain prescribed parking distances, place keys as prescribed, etc.
Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, zero to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrate mechanical skills.
Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment.
Able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.
Able to read, understand and comply with assigned area's job instructions.
Able to communicate effectively -- orally and/or in writing.
Understand basic accessory shop productivity measurements.
Willing to cross train in other areas as needed.
Demonstrate safe, professional level driving skills.
Understand TMS Audit Criteria.
Demonstrate the ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, TMS operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
Must pass a drug screen.

SUMMARY
A Main Accessory Installer, under the leadership of a designated Manager and/or Supervisor will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands for vehicles by providing the vehicles to dealers and customers that meet their demands. A Main Accessory Installer will 1) prepare vehicles for the installation of accessories and/or 2) install accessories on new vehicles in the Processing Center. Accessories will include one or more of over 80 items such as: running boards, fender flares, mud guards, drop hitches, alarm and navigation systems, LED accent lights, fog lights, audio equipment, leather seats and trim, mag wheels, etc. Additionally, a Main Accessory Installer will move vehicles to designated areas inside and around the Main building.
