Warehouse Team Lead / Logistics Shift Lead

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $21.00/hour (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Lead to support daily operations in a fast-paced distribution and fulfillment center. This role is ideal for someone ready to step up from a warehouse associate, picker/packer, or inventory control role into leadership. The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for coordinating workflows, coaching team members, and ensuring that shipping, receiving, and inventory processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership & Training
o Provide daily guidance, training, and motivation to warehouse associates.
o Monitor performance, productivity, and attendance; escalate issues to supervisors as needed.
o Ensure team members follow warehouse policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures.
• Operations & Logistics
o Assign and oversee tasks in picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cycle counts.
o Ensure outbound orders are packed, staged, and loaded on time and accurately.
o Assist with inbound deliveries, put-away, replenishment, and pallet building.
o Utilize warehouse systems and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks).
• Safety & Compliance
o Maintain a safe work environment and enforce PPE requirements.
o Report accidents, safety concerns, and equipment issues promptly.
o Ensure cold storage procedures (refrigerated/freezer environments 30–34°F) and food safety protocols are followed.
• Communication
o Act as the first point of contact for warehouse staff with questions or concerns.
o Provide clear updates during shift handoffs and communicate effectively with supervisors.
o Promote teamwork and a positive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience in a high-volume facility.
• Previous lead, shift lead, or trainer experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated/freezer environments (30–34°F) for extended periods.
