FULL-TIME Residential Structural CAD/Revit Drafter

The opportunity… We are seeking a Full-Time Experienced Structural CAD/Revit Drafter with a minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting to develop foundation and framing plans, and all the details necessary to produce construction and permit documents.
• Assist in building permit application preparation
• Prepare engineering drawings of plans, elevations, cross sections and details of structures from rough sketches and/or from general engineering design information according to established standards and procedures
• Perform design/drafting assignments, requiring advanced working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques
• Perform other duties as required

(Please note, we are not looking for a plumbing, mechanical, electrical or civil draftsman, and all candidates must be local, and able to work from our office in Newport Beach.)

Skills you bring to the table…
• AutoCad and Revit experience is a must have requirement!
• Majoring in Architectural or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Design or Drafting is preferred
• At least 3 years of school/work experience in drafting for residential and commercial properties – structural engineering: foundation plans, framing plans, shoring, structural sections, details and notes
• Excellent attention to detailing of complex structural components
• Architectural drafting experience is a plus
• Ability to read structural and architectural plans to provide structural detailing is a plus
• Knowledge of wood, steel and concrete construction is a plus
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills to manage timelines and deliverables for multiple project deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
