Junior Bench Jeweler / Silversmith / Goldsmith-in-Training

The Role:
This role is ideal for a bench jeweler with solid fundamentals who is eager to deepen their skills. You will assist with fabrication, stone setting, polishing, and repairs while learning more advanced techniques over time. You’ll receive hands-on mentorship and gradually take on greater responsibility as your confidence and abilities grow.

Required Skills:
*Basic-to-intermediate fabrication from sheet and wire in silver and gold
*Foundational stone-setting skills (bezel, tube, basic prong) or strong interest in developing them
*Polishing and finishing
*Milling, rolling, and drawing ingots
*Performing common repairs (ring sizing, simple stone resets, watch batteries, basic soldering)
*Comfort working with hand tools and bench equipment
*Strong willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow

Bonus Skills:
*Exposure to casting, CAD/CAM, or jewelry sketching
*Familiarity with wax carving techniques
*Friendly, professional customer interaction
*Any additional skillsets not mentioned above

Skills You’ll Learn & Develop:
*Advanced stone setting techniques
*Alloying and metal preparation
*Laser welding
*More complex repairs and custom fabrication
*Troubleshooting design challenges with the sales team

Responsibilities:
*Assist with fabrication, polishing, and repairs
*Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bench
*Support production of our mixed-metal jewelry line
*Collaborate with senior jewelers and the sales team
*Take on increasingly complex bench work as skills develop

A bench test is required prior to any offer of employment.
