Lead Driver / Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Lead Driver / Manager to oversee daily delivery operations for our party and event equipment rental business. This role is a working leadership position responsible for safely transporting rental equipment, leading crews on-site, managing logistics, and ensuring high-quality setups and breakdowns for events. The ideal candidate is organized, physically capable, customer-focused, and experienced in both driving and supervising teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate box trucks, vans and work trucks to deliver and retrieve rental equipment
• Load, secure, and unload equipment including tents, tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, staging, and other event items
• Lead installation and breakdown crews at event sites
• Oversee proper setup of tents, layouts, and equipment according to event diagrams and contracts
• Ensure all setups meet company standards for safety, appearance, and functionality
• Troubleshoot on-site issues quickly and professionally
• Assign tasks and ensure crews work efficiently and safely
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and job site protocols
• Provide feedback to management on crew performance
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required)
• Clean driving record
• Previous experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in party rental, event production, construction, landscaping, or logistics is a plus
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
