Heavy Equipment Operator

Growing family owned and operated gold mine in Alaska is seeking experienced equipment operators. The role is hands-on and production focused.

Responsibilities include:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and haul trucks. Perform daily equipment inspections as well as fueling and greasing as needed. Feed and maintain the wash plant. Work as part of a small crew. Collaborate with the mechanics regarding any equipment concerns in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Perform other various tasks as needed, contributing to the overall productivity of the operation.

Requirements include:

Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions. Strong mechanical awareness and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, and safety minded. Ability to live and work at a remote camp.

Preferred - NOT Required:

Previous placer gold mining experience.

Location:

Rural Alaska. This is a remote camp-based position.

Compensation:

Based on knowledge, skills and experience. This is a seasonal full-time position with the potential of returning each year. Compensation also includes meals, room and board, and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Schedule:

6 days on, 1 day off. Approximately 72 hours per week.
