Location: Carpinteria CA (hybrid/remote options may be available)
Hours: Part-time, flexible (10–15 hours per week)
Reports to: Director/Founder
Rate of Pay: $20.00 Hour
Position Summary
The Santa Barbara Invitational Concours, (Montecito Concours d'elegance) is a premier nonprofit automotive and lifestyle event. We are seeking a motivated individual to assist with outreach, marketing, office admin, and event support. This position offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, sponsorship development, and event management while providing the opportunity to build professional skills and connections.
Key Responsibilities
• Make and receive phone calls for outreach, follow-up, and event communication.
• Research and compile information on automotive clubs, organizations, and potential partners.
• Assist with sponsor communication and follow-up.
• Draft and send letters, emails, and acknowledgments.
• Assist with social media posts; monitor engagement and analytics.
• Maintain and update records in Google Docs/Sheets and contact databases.
• Support event logistics and administrative tasks as needed; filing, organizing
Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making phone calls and engaging with professionals.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in marketing, event planning, nonprofits, or automotive culture is a plus but not required.
• Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude.
Learning Opportunities
• Gain practical experience in nonprofit event planning and operations.
• Develop skills in outreach, sponsorship relations, and marketing.
• Learn to manage social media campaigns for a major community event.
