California Licensed Civil Engineer (P.E.)

Whitchurch Engineering has been serving Humboldt County for 30 years, with offices in Eureka and Fortuna. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who can manage projects from concept through construction, mentor and supervise junior staff, and communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and contractors.

Responsibilities
• Manage engineering projects from planning through design
• Supervise, direct, mentor, and review work of junior engineers and engineering staff
• Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and project stakeholders
• Prepare and oversee engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports
• Collaborate with Civil, MEP, and Structural Engineers and Architects
• Provide quality control and ensure projects meet applicable codes and standards
• Support construction administration and inspections as needed

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil or related discipline)
• California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience with Civil 3D, site civil development, utility/grading/drainage design
• Proven ability to manage projects and lead staff
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Salary Range: $70,000 – $110,000 annually
