Marin Housing is pleased to announce an excellent full-time career opportunity for an experienced Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Psychologist, or Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT).


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


MHA’s supportive housing programs are intended to help participants achieve three overall goals: residential stability, increased skill levels and/or incomes, and greater self-determination. Through the coordination of services and partnerships with local agencies, participating residents will receive help in obtaining needed supportive services such as mental health services, educational or vocational counseling, and assistance to maintain benefits through Medical, SSI and SS.


The Clinical Director will oversee Marin Housing Authority’s case management and supportive services teams that provide supportive services to program participants to help them secure and retain housing in the community. This includes the Shelter Plus Care program serving individuals currently or previously experiencing chronic homelessness with a diagnosed mental illness. Additional responsibilities include:



· Direct day-to-day supervisory operations and clinical oversight of the team
· Conduct mental health assessments and screening for program eligibility.
· Leading regular case conferences for supervision and consultation
· Development of coordinated service plans, preparation of reports and case notes.

· Oversight of Medi-Cal and CalAIM funded programs.
· Assist in the formulation and updates to policies and procedures and applying existing rules, regulations, and policies.
· Reviews and monitors supervisee’s documentation and provides training and constructive feedback.
· Responsible for ongoing compliance and contracts.

· Represent the agency at the Coordinated Entry case conference meeting, Marin County’s Health & human Services contractor meetings and other community committees to support the efforts of ending homelessness.

· Other duties/projects assigned.




THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Knowledge of
· Considerable experience working with underserved populations with emphasis on those experiencing homelessness with mental health or co-occurring disorders.
· Knowledge of principles, procedures and techniques, trends and literature relating to the mental health field.
· Understanding of public assistance and social service programs offered in Marin County.
· Experience with DSMV, case note software and reviewing and approving clinical notes.

· Demonstrated ability to provide clinician supervision and day-to-day leadership to a diverse staff who possess a wide range of skills and community knowledge.

· Establish and maintain effective relationships with landlords.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
· Interpret social service programs for applicants and participants.
· Write clear, accurate and concise reports.

· Professionally maintain client records.

· Provide supervision and day-to-day leadership to case management staff.

· Review and co-sign on client service plans, review and monitor psychotherapeutic treatment plans, supervise interns, and perform other professional services needed within the scope of license.


EDUCATION AND EPERIENCE
License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. Additionally, two years’ post licensing supervisory experience is preferred. Previous professional social casework experience, including crisis intervention and extensive experience working with the Shelter Plus Care target population (i.e., individuals experiencing homelessness who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness, and may also have substance addictions and/or be HIV+ or have AIDS) also preferred.



COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
Annual salary range $86,889.36-$110,895.29. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a generous monthly allowance for medical, dental and life insurance; CalPERS retirement 2% @ 62; a 457 deferred compensation plan; 12 paid sick days per year; 10 days paid annual leave per year for the first two years; and 12 paid holidays plus 5 floating holiday days.
