Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor Bookkeeper to handle all accounting functions, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, listens carefully, and works independently while maintaining accurate, well-organized financial records. Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including:
> Invoice creation, review, and entry
> Payment processing
> Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
> Maintain accurate financial documentation
> Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
> Communicate clearly regarding financial issues and recommendations
> Follow established internal controls and confidentiality standards
Required Qualifications:
> Minimum 5 years of experience with QuickBooks Online
> Proven experience managing both AP and AR
> Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
> Ability to work independently in an in-office environment
> Strong listening, organizational, and communication skills
> Demonstrated track record of reliable bookkeeping
Preferred Qualifications:
> Prior independent contractor (1099) experience
> Knowledge of accounting best practices and internal controls
