Job Description

Two licensed California attorneys (with primary careers outside of law) are seeking a highly capable Law Firm Operator / Practice Manager to help build and run a focused legal practice.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who already understands how law firms actually work — intake, cases, workflow, and client acquisition — but is frustrated with traditional law firm environments that involve long hours, limited flexibility, and capped earning potential.

The attorneys will supervise legal work and provide professional oversight, but the right candidate will help identify a viable practice niche, build systems, help acquire clients, and manage day-to-day operations and help find paralegals that can do the work if necessary.

We are practice-area agnostic and open to building a niche practice that makes business sense. We are willing to invest significantly in marketing, systems, and infrastructure to grow something sustainable.

The attorneys can each commit approximately 20 hours per week and may appear in court if needed.

This role is ideal for someone who:

Knows how cases actually move through a law firm

Understands intake and client acquisition and marketing

Has experience managing legal workflows or case pipelines

Wants flexibility and ownership in building something new

Is tired of doing all the work without meaningful upside

Responsibilities may include:

Identifying viable practice niches

Designing workflows and intake systems

Managing case flow and operations

Helping implement marketing and lead-generation strategies

Coordinating vendors, software, and administrative support

Helping scale the practice over time

Ideal background:

This position is intended to grow into a key operational leadership role as the practice expands.

Work arrangement:
