The Position

This position is well suited for an attorney with at least three years of tort defense experience who is prepared to manage matters from inception through resolution. The role offers meaningful responsibility, regular client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

Defend premises liability and related insurance defense matters in New York state and federal courts

Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

Manage all phases of discovery, including conducting and defending depositions

Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and trials

Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development

Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts

Qualifications

Admission to the New York Bar (required)

Minimum of three years of tort defense litigation experience, with a focus on premises liability

Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, and courtroom appearances

Ability to manage cases independently from inception through trial preparation

Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
