Remote Project Coordinator – Flooring (Customer-Facing Role)

We are a growing California flooring company seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Project Coordinator to oversee flooring projects from contract to completion.
This role is focused on project coordination and customer communication rather than heavy commercial estimating or take-offs.
This is not a full-time estimating position.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be available during standard California business hours and if local might eb asked to go onsite occasionally. If preferred, we have office space as well.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers before, during and after sale
• The flooring expert of the company – several years of experience
• Coordinate with Estimator, field measuring and Purchasing dept
• Review scope and measurements for accuracy (no heavy estimating required)
• Present Estimates and follow up until signed
• Coordinate installers, materials, and schedules
• Proactively resolve issues to ensure smooth project completion
• Ensure projects stay on timeline and within scope
• Communicate clearly with customers, installers, and internal staff
• Manage change orders and job documentation
• Manage billing
• Create and maintain relationships with our customers

Qualifications
• Flooring industry experience mandatory
• Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial flooring installations
• Excellent customer communication skills (phone and email)
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Project Management Certification is highly desirable
• Bilingual in Spanish would be very helpful but not required
• Familiarity with RFMS helpful
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
