Job Description

About Us (Veritas Vans)
We design, engineer, and manufacture Starlink mounts and accessories for vans/RVs/off-grid setups. We’re growing fast, and our internal systems need to keep up.

The Job
We’re hiring a part-time person to help build and improve internal software systems that make our company run smoother. This role is heavily reliant on AI-assisted tools (ChatGPT/Cursor/GitHub Copilot/Claude-type tools, etc.) to move fast—your job is to use them smartly, validate results, and ship practical improvements.

This is a great fit for a college student (CS/IS/MIS/engineering) or someone early-career who loves building real-world tools.

Example Projects

Rebuild/upgrade our ticketing system so it’s cleaner, faster, and more self-service (FAQ flows, macros, routing, tagging, automated triage)

Build internal tools for inventory tracking (manufacturing → components → finished goods → shipped)

Automations between tools (e.g., orders → shipping → support tickets → inventory updates)

Dashboards + reports (what’s breaking, what customers ask most, what’s out of stock, etc.)

Internal “admin” pages / lightweight apps for our team to use daily

What You’ll Do

Use AI tools to accelerate coding, documentation, and troubleshooting

Build integrations using APIs/webhooks (or no-code/low-code when it’s faster)

Maintain security basics (permissions, protecting customer/order data)

Must-Haves

Strong problem-solving + ability to work independently

Comfortable using AI tools daily and verifying output (not blindly copy/paste)

Basic programming ability (JavaScript or Python preferred)

Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, JSON, spreadsheets, and automation logic

Good communication: you can explain what you changed and why

Work Style

Part-time, flexible hours

How to Apply
Email your info to: [your email] with subject: “Internal Software – Part Time”
Include:

A short intro (who you are + availability)

Any links (GitHub/portfolio/projects) if you have them

2–3 examples of tools/systems you’ve built or improved (school projects are fine)

Optional (but helpful): your experience using AI coding assistants and how you validate results.

This is a practical role—shipping usable improvements matters more than perfect code.

We may start with a small paid trial project to make sure it’s a good fit both ways
