Golf Course Management

Overview GreensMasters,LLC, a golf course management company. Is looking for an experienced Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for one of our nine-hole golf courses in Lakewood, N.J. This is a hands-on leadership role supports daily courses maintenance. Operating Toro irrigation system that is scheduled for replacement starting in 2026. Reporting directly to the Director of Agronomy. This position helps maintain high standards for course health, playability, and presentation.

Responsibilities:

Support irrigation system management and troubleshooting to ensure proper watering schedules and hand watering.
Supervise and coordinate daily course set up. and maintenance.
Lead and supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety standards
Perform golf course duties such as aeration, overseeding, and topdressing to maintain high-quality turf conditions
Apply pesticide and fertilizers application
Monitor course conditions regularly, identifying issues related to land grading, drainage, or turf health
Support the implementation of environmental sustainability practices on the course.

Requirements:

A Certificate in turf management is a plus
Knowledge of turf care techniques, irrigation systems, construction projects, tree care, and general gardening practices
Strong background in horticulture and plant health management
Leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively and promote teamwork. able to speak Spanish is a plus.
Ability to perform maintenance tasks involving equipment operation and minor repairs
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining course standards
Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed
A valid NJ drivers license
Prior experience working in a golf course environment is a plus
