Friendly City Yard Care is hiring a Landscape Maintenance professional.

Seeking a dependable and motivated Landscape Maintenance professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and exceptional attention to detail.

Can you trim a hedge or shrub to perfection with straight lines (or symmetrical curves) and even surfaces? Can you lay straight lines and symmetrical patterns as you mow a lawn? Can you edge a lawn cleanly at a steady walking pace? Can you use a blower to leave a property debris free without skipping or missing spots? Do you know how to prune fruit trees and rose bushes? Are you able to work on your knees pulling weeds and lift heavy loads into and out of a truck? Can you drive a truck with a trailer? These are some of the skills and abilities I'm looking for. Experience is preferred but I may be willing to train the right person.

The ideal candidate values craftsmanship, notices the small things that make a property stand out, and approaches every job with a friendly, professional attitude. I believe great landscaping isn’t just about how it looks—it’s also about how it’s done and how clients are treated.

Of course, landscaping does have A LOT to do with how it looks, which is why an ideal candidate is something of a perfectionist with a critical eye for detail and an intuitive aesthetic sense. Pairing this with a motivation for physically hard work in an efficient, time-conscious way and a joy of working outside is the recipe for success, long-term employment, and pay increases. We don't rush; we are quick and efficient with an eye for detail.

- Reliability, punctuality, and a solid work ethic
- Experience in landscape maintenance strongly preferred, but not always required for the right candidate.
- Must be in fit physical condition and free of substance abuse issues. No smoking or vaping on the job (nicotine or cannabis).

This is a small business and is currently being run by the owner, working solo for the winter months. Business is already picking up and come spring, work will double or triple. I would like to start training someone now to be my right hand for the spring rush and continue through summer, fall, and possibly through the winter. I may hire a third person as needed and I may need someone as a crew supervisor when we need to break off into two crews. I offer full time work but this will vary during the wet season depending on weather.
