Job Description

Rock Cellar Magazine is looking for someone who lives and breathes music and knows how to turn that passion into real subscriber growth.

This role is fully focused on one thing: bringing new readers into the Rock Cellar community — online, in person, and wherever music fans gather.

If you understand how music culture spreads, love talking to people, and get excited about growing something authentic, this job might be for you.

What You’ll Do

Drive new digital and print subscriptions

Build and execute outreach campaigns to reach new audiences

Represent Rock Cellar at local shows, music events, and industry gatherings

Partner with venues, artists, labels, and promoters on subscriber promotions

Help shape how Rock Cellar connects with readers — not just sells to them

Track subscriber growth and test new ideas to improve it

This is not a passive role. You’ll be out in the world, talking to people, building buzz, and finding creative ways to get music fans to subscribe.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who genuinely loves music and music culture

Comfortable starting conversations and pitching ideas

Experience in subscriptions, sales, marketing, or audience growth (media experience is a plus)

Self-motivated and creative — you won’t be handed a script

Organized enough to track what’s working and what isn’t

You don’t need to come from a traditional publishing background — you do need to know how to connect with people.

Why This Role Works

You’re helping grow an established, respected music publication

Your work has a clear, measurable impact

You’ll have room to experiment and try new ideas

You’ll be part of a small, passionate team that cares about what it produces

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time

Some local travel for shows and events
Must commute to Chatsworth daily 8:00am-4:30pm

Starting rate $30+ DOE
