We are an established and growing Legal Document Assistant (LDA) business seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Legal Document Assistant to join our team in-house. This role is ideal for a professional who is confident managing case files, deadlines, and daily office operations while working directly with clients.
This is not a remote position. Candidates must be able to work on-site and handle a full caseload independently.
🧠 Responsibilities:
Prepare, draft, and review legal documents (family law, probate, civil, real estate, and related filings)
Manage active case files and multiple deadlines simultaneously
Oversee day-to-day office operations and workflow
Maintain organized client files (physical and digital)
Coordinate filings with courts and county recorders
Track case progress, follow up on outstanding items, and calendar deadlines
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
Assist with intake, document execution, and case status updates
Ensure compliance with California Legal Document Assistant regulations
✅ Requirements
Minimum 3+ years experience as a Legal Document Assistant or similar legal support role
Proven experience managing office operations and caseloads
Strong understanding of California court filings and procedures
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
In-house availability (no remote applicants)
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience running or assisting running a office
Familiarity with family law, probate, trusts, civil filings, and real estate documents
Experience with calendaring systems and case management software
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
