Location: Eureka CA
Schedule: 30 hours/week
Compensation: ~ $20.00/hour (DOE)

We are seeking a dependable, professional Receptionist to support a busy law office. This role is client-facing and detail-driven, combining front desk responsibilities with administrative support and daily court runs/errands. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, punctual, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system; take accurate messages and follow up as needed
• Greet clients warmly, check clients in, and help ensure a welcoming office experience
• Prepare coffee for clients and assist with general client care in the lobby
• Open and close the office daily; maintain a tidy, professional reception area
• Perform daily court runs and local errands (filings, pickups, deliveries)
• Receive payments and provide receipts; communicate payment information to appropriate staff
• Coordinate and maintain a multi-staff calendar, including appointments and deadlines
• File, index, scan, and organize client files (paper and electronic) with strong attention to detail
• Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Follow written and verbal instructions carefully; communicate clearly with attorneys, staff, and clients
• Support general office organization and administrative tasks and evolving duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Excellent customer service skills and professional phone etiquette
• Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and efficiently
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working with calendars, basic office software, scanners/copiers, and file systems
Required for This Role
• Reliable transportation and willingness to drive locally every business day
• Clean driving record
• Clean background record
• Ability to maintain confidentiality consistent with a legal environment
